Congratulations! Alumnus Lin Chi-yang (pen name Xiang Yang) and alumna Wang, Nien-Tzu have been honored as Distinguished Alumni of National Chengchi University for the 114th academic year.

Mr. Lin Chi-yang graduated from the Ph.D. program of the Graduate Institute of Journalism in 2003 and currently serves as the 10th Chairperson of the National Culture and Arts Foundation.

Writing under the pen name Xiang Yang, he is an interdisciplinary writer renowned for his poetry, as well as essays, children’s literature, cultural criticism, and political commentary. He has taken on multiple roles—as a poet, writer, lyricist, political commentator, editor-in-chief, chief editorial writer, and scholar. With his diverse identities and broad scope of work, he is considered one of the most representative figures in contemporary literature.

Ms. Wang, Nien-Tzu is a graduate of the 34th class of the Department of Journalism. She founded DaHao Studio in 1990, dedicating herself to advocating for disadvantaged groups through creativity, with far-reaching impact.

She is a senior advertising creative in Taiwan who has served as creative director at several international advertising agencies, producing many classic advertisements. She later shifted her focus to public service advertising and documentary filmmaking, earning numerous major awards, including one of the Ten Outstanding Young Women, the Golden Horse Award for Best Documentary, and the Golden Bell Award for Best Variety Program.
